West Yorkshire Spinners The Croft is a natural wool yarn spun from Shetland Island wool.

Shetland Island Wool is a fibre celebrated for its fineness, warmth and strength. The fleece has high levels of crimp and wave, with a soft and silky handle, making it an ideal hand knitting yarn.

West Yorkshire Spinners was provided the opportunity by Jamieson & Smith of Shetland to use this fantastic fleece, and created this exquisite yarn.

Crofting is integral to the landscape, cultural heritage and social economy of the Shetland Islands. It bonds people and places in a unique way, preserving livelihoods and age old traditions.
